As a first Post, I’ll lay out the sports and specific teams I follow. This is an open forum, feel free to join in with your media favorites or media rants.
I enjoy sports period; however, I’m a football guy, American and European. I enjoy baseball and hockey, more-so during the playoffs, even a bit of cricket and Australian rules rugby. College football, European soccer, and college baseball are my central interests. Yes, soccer, the “other” football. It’s an acquired taste I admit, but if you have played it, you will understand.
Being in the Southeast, I follow the ACC and SEC. I’m a Florida State fan, and have been for years. This is a great area for football and baseball talent, and both high school sports are a growing trend. College baseball has just kicked off and I’m looking for FSU to slide into another College World Series this year.
The UEFA Champions League is in full gear currently, and I expect a German – Spanish final this year. I focus more on the English Premier League and the German Bundasliga, but stay current on the French, Spanish and Italian leagues. I grew up watching Bayern Munich and still support the German National Team, unless the US is playing them of course. Manchester United has become interesting of late. New ownership coupled with a new manager and injuries have stirred up discontent amongst the fans of Old Trafford. I imagine there will be some trades or contract purchases coming soon.
That’s where my analytical work is focused. As I said, I just enjoy sports and my goal is to work in International Marketing. This is the beginning of a new journey. Tips or advice from anyone in the industry would be greatly appreciated.
